We are proud to announce an exciting milestone for BRO Electrical Leeds Ltd: after seven successful years as an NICEIC Domestic Installer, we are now officially an NICEIC Approved Contractor.
This achievement marks the next stage in our development as we increasingly focus on residential developments, new builds, extensions and larger electrical installation projects across Leeds and Yorkshire.
For our team, it is a moment to celebrate the work that has brought us here—and to look ahead to the opportunities ahead.
Building on seven years of experience
Our time as an NICEIC Domestic Installer has been an important part of the BRO Electrical journey.
Working on people’s homes means understanding how much the details matter. Electrical installations need to support everyday life, from practical kitchen layouts and well-positioned sockets to lighting that makes a new extension feel welcoming.
As our business has grown, so has our ambition to contribute to larger residential projects and build lasting relationships with homeowners, builders and developers.
Pursuing Approved Contractor status was a deliberate step towards that future.
What does NICEIC Approved Contractor status mean?
The NICEIC Approved Contractor scheme assesses electrical contractors’ competence against the requirements of BS 7671, the UK standard for electrical installations.
Assessment considers both electrical work and the systems supporting it, including relevant documentation, equipment and supervision.
Having successfully completed the assessment, BRO Electrical has achieved certification under the scheme. It is independent recognition of our competence and an achievement we are proud to share with our customers and project partners.
Supporting our next stage of growth
Our growing focus includes:
- Residential developments.
- New-build homes.
- Extensions and substantial renovations.
- Larger electrical installation projects.
These projects bring opportunities to get involved earlier, contribute to electrical planning and coordinate closely with other trades.
For a homeowner, that might mean discussing how a new extension will connect with the existing property. For a builder, it could mean agreeing installation stages around the construction programme. For a developer, it means establishing a clear electrical scope before work progresses on site.
Our new status supports the direction in which we want to take BRO Electrical as we develop these relationships across Yorkshire.
Continuing to serve homeowners across Leeds
Alongside this next stage of growth, homes and residential electrical work remain central to our business.
Whether someone is planning a renovation, upgrading their kitchen or preparing for a larger building project, our aim is to understand what they need and help them make informed decisions about the electrical work.
Good installations begin with good conversations: how the space will be used, what equipment it needs to support and which decisions should be made before construction or decorating begins.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us
This milestone also gives us an opportunity to thank the customers, tradespeople, project partners and supporters who have been part of our journey.
Your support has helped BRO Electrical move forward, and we are excited to build on those relationships while developing new ones.
Becoming an NICEIC Approved Contractor is a proud achievement for our business. We look forward to bringing that momentum to residential projects across Leeds and Yorkshire.
